December 4th is the release date for the debut 7” from Sydney hardcore band, Civil War. The band formed from the ashes of melodic hardcore stalwarts, Persist in 2011, releasing a demo and quickly hitting the road, playing wherever they could with their 80’s thrash influenced hardcore and a passionate DIY ethic. Their hard work has already seen them share stages with bands like Cruel Hand, Bitter End, Xibalba and even opening the annual Hardcore Festival in 2012.

Laying down hard hitting riffs, poignant lyrics and slamming drums over 4 tracks of vital energetic hardcore, Jaded Minds is Civil War’s declaration of intent, a tribute to old school bands like Cro Mags and Leeway and a revival of meaning in a genre often caught up in image.
